Short starter for loading roundballs in muzzle-loading firearms. Consists of a birch ball with two 'ramrods': a short brass rod which is used to force the roundball into the muzzle and a longer brass tipped birch rod that force the ball a couple of inches down the bore.
Available in three sizes based on the rod diameter: large: 12mm (.47") diameter; medium: 10mm (.39") diameter and small: 8mm (.315") diameter.
The large starter can be used with calibres from .54 and up, medium for .50 and down to .44 and small from .40 to approx. 35.
